Course Description

This discussion group is for individuals who are seeking a deeper, more personal understanding and application of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. We use the book He Did Deliver Me from Bondage by Colleen Harrison as a study guide to understand and apply principles of The Book of Mormon outlined by the book. 

This book is based on the Twelve Step Book written for AA, but uses scriptural references from The Book of Mormon, rather than The Bible. The Book of Mormon is a book of scripture from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

The scriptural exercises in the Twelve-Step Program assist in bringing about a more personal relationship with the Savior, a deeper conversion, and a changed heart.

Commitment required to glean the most from the class

The book for this course includes questions based on scripture that are designed to create reflection on the part of the reader on a daily basis. Those questions are meant to be answered in written form to increase the effect on your life. Additionally, there is a chapter that is read and discussed each week in the conference call.

The purpose of the discussion group is to focus on the principle for that week, the quotes from the chapter and the particular scriptures.  It is not a place to divulge personal information or confessions but to uplift one another through insights gained.
